After many years out of school, I decided that it was time for me to get my masters degree…well, to actually finish it this time. I have started taking graduate courses several times in the last 25 years. The problem was that I never really was sure what degree I wanted to pursue. I knew that I wanted to continue my education, but I wasn’t sure of the direction I should take. Most of my teacher-friends get graduate degrees in Administration, Counseling, or Ed Tech. I started working toward a MEd in Special Education once because I thought at least the information would be useful, but I was sure I didn’t want to teach Special Ed.
One friend was working toward her MEd in Administration at Lamar University. She liked that the courses were fast paced and offered online. She also said the cost was less than our local university. After researching a little longer, I discovered that Lamar offered an online MEd in Digital Learning and Leading. I read the course description and was so excited! This is exactly where I feel my future in education is headed!
